Randy Skinner
Randy A. Skinner understands the stress of unemployment and economic uncertainty. Twenty years ago, with a new wife and a mountain of educational debt, he was downsized from his very first job during a recession. Even with three degrees from the University of South Carolina (B.S., M.B.A., and J.D.), his employment prospects looked bleak, so Mr. Skinner took the only route available to him: He started his own firm.
The Skinner Law Firm might not have been his first choice, but it proved to be the right one. Since being admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1991, Mr. Skinner has become a statewide leader in the bankruptcy field, with numerous accolades and appointments, including:

Outside the office, Mr. Skinner enjoys travel, fishing, and golf—though his golf game has failed to keep pace with his professional accomplishments. He has been married more than 20 years and is a devoted father of two.

If we are acting as Trustee in your 341 Meeting of Creditors, please help us expedite the process by taking note of several deadlines and documentation requirements.
At least seven days prior to the Meeting of Creditors please provide the following to our office via DocLink:
- Last two years tax returns
- Name, address and phone number of any and all Domestic Support Obligation Recipients
If you have not registered for DocLink, please do so by visiting https://doclink.bms7.com and entering the Registration Key that was sent to you in the invitation to DocLink. If you did not receive an invitation or you do not have your Registration Key, please email our office and we will provide you with one.
At the Meeting of Creditors please be sure to have photo ID and proof of social security number.
Acceptable forms of photo ID: driver’s license, U.S. government ID, state ID, passport (and current U.S. visa, if not a U.S. citizen), military ID, resident alien card, and identity card issued by a national government authority (if authorized by the United States Trustee).
Acceptable forms of proof of social security number: social security card, medical insurance card, pay stub, W-2 form, IRS Form 1099, and Social Security Administration (SSA) Statement.
**Any document used to confirm a debtor’s identity and social security number must be an original**We suggest that you arrive at your Meeting of Creditors at least fifteen minutes early so you have a chance to observe other meetings and have a better idea of what will happen during your meeting. Unless instructed otherwise by your attorney, please have a seat in the courtroom instead of the waiting area so you can properly observe the process. Please remember that your meeting will be recorded; therefore, when asked a question please speak clearly and loudly and respond with “yes” or “no.” The recorder will not pick up “uh-huh” or “uh-uh,” head nods or head shakes.
